More About Snowman Note Reading Games for Treble Clef and Bass Clef
These winter snowman note reading games give beginning through intermediate piano students a terrific way to review piano keys and treble and bass clef notes.
Includes white piano keys through treble and bass clef notes of the grand staff, up to 3 ledger lines above and below the staff.
Music spelling words created from the letters of the music alphabet are shown on each card: ACE, FADE, BEAD, DEEDED, and DECADE, for example.
Students figure out the word, roll the dice, and move forward on the game board. The first student to reach the end wins!
Use these music spelling bee games instead of traditional music notes flash cards to drill and review treble and bass clef notes in an engaging way that students love.
Your piano students will have tons of fun in piano lessons while becoming more confident in their ability to identify piano keys and notes of the grand staff!
Even better, these interactive music activities for treble clef and bass clef are kid-approved and teen-approved!
How to Play the Winter Snowman Note Reading Games
- Students roll the dice to see who goes first. The lowest number goes first.
- The first student draws a card.
- The student identifies the notes (or piano keys in the first game) and says the word that the notes (or piano keys) spell. The student can write the letters onto their score card if desired.
- If the student gets the correct answer, the student rolls the dice and moves their game piece forward.
- If the answer is incorrect, the student doesn’t move forward (or moves backward to make it more interesting!)
- The first person to reach the end wins!
