Kelly Bordeaux holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Choral Music Education from Huntington University and taught private piano lessons from her home studios in Michigan and Indiana for over 15 years to students, ages 3-18. She has also worked and served as a music ministry director, worship leader, and musician in her home churches over the past 20 years.

Kelly began creating digital resources, primarily Boom™ Cards, for her own piano students in 2022 as a way to add extra fun to the piano lessons she was teaching at the time. While Kelly is not teaching private lessons currently, she still creates digital Boom Cards games and activities as a Boom Learning Premier Publisher.

Kelly believes piano lessons should include pedagogically sound resources and ideas, and yet still be fun for students of all ages. She now creates Boom Cards for piano teachers around the world to use with their private students. She has created over 200 individual Boom Cards digital activities, which include a wide variety of piano study and music theory concepts, for the youngest preschool-aged beginner to the early advanced student. 

Kelly lives in Indiana with her husband, Tim, and their three teenagers. She enjoys thrifting and hanging out with her daughter, watching her sons participate in sports and jazz band with her husband, spending time at the beach whenever possible and traveling with her family.
