How can you use this piano practice craft?

There are so many ways you can use this piano practice craft! Here are some ideas:

  • You are welcome to display the large two-page gnomes in your studio: on the wall, a bulletin board, the door, etc.
  • The small single-page gnomes are for each student to take home (or display in your studio – whatever works best for you!).
  • You might use this as a practice incentive and award prizes to students who complete the incentive.
  • You might choose to do a studio-wide practice challenge or allow students to complete it individually.
  • To make things very easy for your students, send them home with the single-page gnome, a bag of 25 cotton balls, and a glue stick.
  • For best results, use small cotton balls on the single-page gnome (roll them around in your hand to make them even smaller if needed), and use larger cotton balls on the two-page gnome.
  • Have your students share a picture of their completed gnome on your studio Facebook page or other social media.
  • The most important thing is that students are playing their Christmas pieces for themselves and for others, and finding joy in making music.
